The Enchanted Show
Garden in conjunction with Redwood Stone featured elements from our
Gothic Folly forming an Abbey Ruin backdrop to Mark Turner's dreamy
water garden.
The unstructured planting with muted and
restful colours was in harmony with the movement of water flowing into
pools, the essence of which was symbolised by water spirit sculptures.
The garden, entitled A Moment Out of Time (Lady Beth's Dream) was
awarded a Silver Medal by the show judges.

The
centre-piece of the abbey ruin was the imposing
triple arch gothic window towering over the scene below. Flanked by solid
buttresses incorporating double width set-offs the overall effect truly
encaptureed the key elements of Gothic architecture; height and light.

To one corner of the garden was one of the
most effective water features yet designed using our Gothic Folly components.
The half opened Secret Door revealed the Chapter House spiral steps engulfed
in a torrent of water cascading into the pool below.
